The Sacred Art of Holy Week

As we journey with Jesus through this most holy and precious of all weeks, we follow the biblical narrative from Palm Sunday to the glories of Easter Day, whilst meditating on artworks from across the centuries, inspired by the events of Holy Week.

Anji is an art historian specialising in sacred art, and her retreats combine Benedictine spirituality and a love of scripture with meditative reflections on works of art. She is also a published author and poet.

Alongside this exploration, retreatants will have the opportunity to join the Monastic Community for its daily cycle of prayer, Mass, and sessions led by monks, with ample time for personal reflection, prayer, or exploring the beautiful surroundings of Ampleforth Abbey.

This guided retreat includes full board and light refreshments.
