Retreat: God Paints Through Art and Spirituality

-
Fr Bede Leach OSB
En-suite £154.00 I Standard £144.00

Join us as we embark on a journey of discovery on this retreat led by Fr Bede, in which we seek to reveal the essence of faith at the heart of religious art.

With no prior knowledge of art necessary, you’ll discover three select paintings together for the first time through inclusive group seminars and marvel as you uncover their surprises. You’ll be encouraged to share your personal interpretation of the works alongside others from all walks of life, learning from each other’s contributions in a space where all opinions are valid and valued.

Through the weekend, Fr Bede will introduce you to a total of three paintings, where you will delve deep into the images and thus into yourselves. On Friday evening, after your arrival, a casual introductory chat will outline the framework of your weekend activities.

After a restful night’s sleep, the first painting will be discussed in a conversation with each other and Fr Bede. During Saturday afternoon, you are free to explore our beautiful grounds, have a rest, or visit the nearby villages. In the evening, you’ll unravel the mysteries of a second piece of art. Sunday morning will close the retreat with a third and final painting for you to discuss, and you’ll leave the experience feeling lighter, more insightful and part of a new community.
