Retreat: Art and Spirituality
Through this retreat, Fr Bede leads us through a process of discovering the essence of faith in religious art. You’ll be introduced to two paintings, with a session on each. Together, through discussion and interpretation, we hope to bring these pieces of art to life again, weaving the initial gospel story with the faith life and homily of the artist. Gradually we hope to see our own ongoing faith and live story emerging in our conclusions in a final summary session.
You’ll be encouraged to share your personal interpretation of the works alongside others from fellow disciples from all walks of life, learning from each other’s contributions in a space where all opinions are valid and valued. You’ll leave the experience feeling lighter, more insightful and part of a new community.
This guided retreat includes full board and light refreshments.
If you live locally, you can now join this retreat as a non-resident for £99 which includes a two-course lunch and refreshments Tuesday - Thursday.
