Last week, the monastic community joined with the wider church on the first Friday of Lent to pray for survivors and victims of sexual abuse, praying the Stations of the Cross in Monks’ Wood, using the reflections proposed by the Bishops’ Conference. It was windy and wintry, but also prayerful and thoughtful, and the snowdrops surrounding us were a welcome sign of hope as we began our lockdown Lent.
