On Wednesday this week, the monastic community prayed the Stations of the Cross for victims of sexual abuse. This was a response to an initiative from the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors who asked for a day of special prayer in Lent. The stations were set up outside in Monks’ Wood, winding their way up the hillside to the quarry above the graveyard. The prayers included selections from the psalms and also reflections from the Bishops’ Conference.
