This October and November have seen a number of Volunteer Days take place in the Ampleforth Abbey Orchard, supported by the North York Moors National Park.
The help of these volunteers has allowed us harvest many more apples; reducing wastage and helping to preserve this unique part of our cultural and natural heritage. We'd like to say a huge thank you to all involved.
Would you like to get involved?
The next Orchard Volunteer Day will take place on Wednesday 23rd November. We'll welcome volunteers to help with the final picking of the season, providing refreshments, a light lunch and the opportunity to learn a little more about the orchard.
Email volunteering@ampleforthabbey.org.uk with your name and contact details to hear more about this and more opportunities through which you can support the Abbey and its natural environment.
