February brings a new series of Home Retreats on various thought-provoking topics delivered by our monastic community every Saturday at 11am. Head over to our YouTube each week to watch live or on playback, and begin the new week feeling grounded and more insightful.
'The Myth of Salvation' by Fr Henry
Saturday 4th February at 11am
This retreat, delivered by Fr Henry, will be an enquiry into St Paul's account of the process.
'The Cellarer of the Monastery' by Fr Wulstan
Saturday 11th February at 11am
This Home Retreat explores St Benedict’s understanding of an important monastic official in his Rule, suggesting ways in which St Benedict’s teaching about him can help all of us to seek holiness.
'Part 3 of The Half Crown' by Fr Bede
Saturday 18th February at 11am
This Saturday, Fr Bede will deliver part 3 to the story of 'The Half Crown'. He will conclude the lectio and then 'the waiting time' for a homecoming in our lives and into Lent 2023 - "a time to fall in love again with God".
You can watch part 1 here, and part 2 here.
'The Power of One' by Fr Philip
Saturday 25th February at 11am
This retreat will be a reflection on how human assumptions of what constitute power and security are repeatedly overturned throughout salvation history; where humanly hopeless situations are the foundation for a greater display of God’s sovereign authority over history: an encouragement to hope in times of darkness.
Each Home Retreat consists of a 10-20 minute reflection and concludes with a series of suggestions for activities and further reflection throughout the day.
